The Dimorphodon was known for its large skull, long tail and differently sized teeth, hence the Greek name Dimorphodon (Greek for "two-formed tooth"); pronounced die-more-foe-don. The Dimorphodon was a pterosaur, a flying reptile closely related to the dinosaurs. It would use its tail to help stabilise itself in flight.
